BUILT TO OUTLAST
THE SCHOOL YEAR
Every fabric lot we source for school uniforms must pass five performance thresholds — tested to ISO 12945 (pilling), ISO 105 (colorfastness), and GB/T 31888 shrinkage tolerances. Here's what your garments are engineered to withstand.
Pill-Resistant
50,000+ Martindale rubs (ISO 12945-2). Zero visible pilling after 40 industrial washes — stays smooth through an entire school year of weekly laundering.
Colorfast
Grade 4–5 AATCC / ISO 105-C06. Colors hold through 60°C industrial washes without fading — tested across light, washing, and perspiration fastness.
Breathable
800+ g/m²/24h moisture vapor transmission rate (MVTR). Regulates body temperature through a full school day — critical for active students in warm climates.
Stain-Resistant
Teflon EcoElite finish — water- and oil-repellent. Spills bead up and roll off before absorption. Maintains performance through 30+ industrial washes.
Shrink-Controlled
≤2% dimensional change after 5 washes (GB/T 31888 tolerance). Garments hold size specification across the full school term — no sizing drift across batches.
PANTONE-ACCURATE.

CUSTOM SIZE GRADING
AGES 2 THROUGH 16+
Five age bands, each with slim, regular, and fuller fit options — because a 6-year-old and a 15-year-old require fundamentally different torso-to-limb proportions. Custom grade rules built from your student measurement data, not generic industry averages.
Ages 2–4
Shorter torso-to-leg ratio, elasticated waists, easy-fasten closures for small hands. GB 31701 Class A compliance for infants (0–36 months).
Ages 4–7
Growth room allowances in hem and waist, adjustable waistbands, reinforced knees on trousers. GB 31701 Class B compliance for direct skin contact.
Ages 7–11
Proportional grading across chest, waist, and length. Standardized increments per GB/T 31888 size interval guidelines.
Ages 11–16
Broader shoulder-to-waist drop, longer sleeve and leg increments, slim/regular/fuller fit options. Accommodates rapid adolescent growth differentials.
Ages 16+
Full adult chest and shoulder grading with proportional sleeve and leg lengths. Extended size range available for larger body types — send measurement data for custom grade rule.
WHAT SCHOOL BUYERS SAY
620 complete uniform sets across 11 size bands — blazers, trousers, shirts, skirts, ties, and PE kit. Production finished in 32 days, ahead of our back-to-school deadline. Retail-ready packaging with woven labels pre-attached, barcoded per student, so parents picked up directly. LantaoWork understood exactly what a school calendar deadline means — zero late deliveries.
We had a very specific burgundy shade — Pantone 202 C — that our previous supplier failed to match across three sample rounds. LantaoWork nailed it on every fabric substrate — pique knit, polyester, and woven — in one lab-dip round. 1,200 pieces delivered for the new term. Color consistency was perfect across polo shirts, cardigans, and skirts. Spectrophotometer readings confirmed delta E < 1.0 across the entire batch.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
ABOUT SCHOOL UNIFORM MANUFACTURERS IN CHINA
How do you ensure color consistency across different fabric types? + −
Every color is referenced to a specific Pantone number before production begins. We produce lab-dips on each fabric substrate — polyester, CVC (cotton-poly), and knit — and ship them for your approval with spectrophotometer readings. During bulk production, every batch is verified against the approved lab-dip. The result: delta E < 1.0 color difference across your entire uniform program — the same navy blue on a polyester blazer reads identical to the navy on a CVC dress shirt.
What certifications do you hold for school uniform manufacturing? + −
ISO 9001:2015 for quality management systems, OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class I (safe for infant and children's wear — formaldehyde ≤ 20 mg/kg for Class A, ≤ 75 mg/kg for Class B per GB 31701-2015), and BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) for ethical manufacturing. We produce to GB/T 31888-2015 — the national Chinese standard for primary and secondary school uniforms — as our baseline, and can align with CPSIA (US) or REACH (EU) requirements as specified in your tech pack. Every shipment includes batch-level QC certificates with test data from accredited third-party labs — available for your compliance records.
Can you handle custom size grading for our student population? + −
Yes. We grade across 5 age bands from ages 2 through 16+, with slim, regular, and fuller fit options within each band. Send us your student measurement data — height, chest, waist, hip, and sleeve length distributions — and we'll create a custom grade rule that matches your actual student population, not generic industry averages. We can also map your existing size labels (US, UK, EU, Asian) to our production specs and provide a conversion table for your procurement records.
What fabric options are best for active school children — durable yet comfortable? + −
The most commonly specified school uniform fabric among our procurement clients is a CVC twill (60% cotton / 40% polyester) at 180–220 GSM with mechanical stretch — it holds a crease, resists stains, survives 100+ industrial washes, and provides enough give for playground and PE movement. For warmer climates, we recommend a lightweight TR blend (polyester-rayon, 150–170 GSM) with moisture-wicking finish. All school fabrics are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class I certified and tested to GB 31701-2015 formaldehyde and azo-dye limits. Pure cotton is available on request but generally not recommended — it wrinkles and deforms more rapidly, and procurement teams typically prefer CVC or TR for durability and lower total cost of ownership across a school term.
How do you handle seasonal reorders and bulk deliveries across multiple school terms? + −
We maintain your approved tech pack, fabric reference, and color formula on file permanently — no need to re-sample for every reorder. For annual uniform programs, we recommend placing one purchase order with phased delivery dates aligned to your academic calendar. For Northern Hemisphere schools targeting a July–August delivery, we recommend confirming fabric roll commitments and PO by March to secure production slots ahead of the peak season and to account for Chinese New Year buffer. Rush reorders — mid-term replacements, unexpected enrollment growth — are prioritized on a 10–14 day express timeline on our flex line, with air freight options available for urgent deliveries.
