Hospital scrub program — department color coding
01
Teaching Hospital, Southeast Asia — Procurement Team

Multi-Department Hospital Rollout

800 Staff across 4 departments
28 Days from order to delivery
3 Reorders in 12 months
The Problem

Previous supplier couldn't maintain consistent colors across scrub sets. Surgery blue would arrive lighter than the sample, and sizing varied between production batches. Staff in different departments were hard to identify at a distance.

What We Did

We produced all four department colors from a single dye lot and ran the entire order on one dedicated line. Each batch was verified with a spectrophotometer against the approved lab-dip. Sizing was locked to a sealed reference sample.

The biggest thing for us was knowing that when we reorder in six months, the color will match exactly. That was the problem we couldn't solve with our last supplier.

Growing clinic network scrub program

Private Clinic Group, 12 Locations — Operations Director

Scaling from Pilot to Full Rollout

200 Piece pilot order
12 Clinics now supplied
5 Reorders and counting
The Problem

A network of private clinics wanted their own branded scrubs but had never done custom manufacturing before. They needed a low-risk way to start small — test the fit, fabric, and look — before committing to larger volumes.

What We Did

We sent a fabric swatch kit first, then produced a 200-piece trial order across XS-4XL with their logo embroidered on the left chest. After staff feedback, we adjusted the fit slightly and moved to regular production.

We were nervous about ordering custom manufacturing for the first time. The swatch kit and small trial run made it feel safe. Now it's just part of our quarterly procurement.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

We evaluated five scrub manufacturers before choosing LantaoWork. The combination of AQL 2.5 documentation, antimicrobial fabric testing, and factory-direct pricing eliminated every competitor. Our first 500-set order for our cardiac unit shipped with zero defects — every seam, every logo, every color dead on spec.

What sets LantaoWork apart is the fabric transparency. Most suppliers just say 'medical-grade' — LantaoWork sends the actual AATCC 100 lab reports, the AAMI PB70 ratings, the Pantone spectrophotometer readings. For a procurement team managing compliance across 12 hospitals, that documentation is non-negotiable.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
ABOUT SCRUB MANUFACTURER

What fabric blends do you offer and which is best for 12-hour shifts?
+

Our fabric matrix spans four tiers: Value (poly-cotton, 65/35), Core (poly-viscose-spandex, 4-way stretch), Performance (COOLMAX-infused moisture-wicking), and Eco-Friendly (GRS-certified recycled polyester with organic cotton). For 12-hour shifts, the Performance tier with 4-way stretch and moisture-wicking is the top recommendation — it stays dry, resists wrinkles, and moves with the body through long rotations.

How does your size grading compare to standard retail sizing?
+

We grade across XXS–5XL with slim, regular, and relaxed fit options within each size. Our pattern blocks are based on actual healthcare worker body measurement data — not generic retail sizing — so a Medium in our scrubs fits the person wearing it for 12 hours, not a mannequin. Send us your staff measurement data and we can create custom grade rules specific to your workforce.

What are the costs for custom logo branding?
+

Logo customization is included in the unit price — no additional fees. You choose the method (embroidery, heat transfer, or DTG digital print), placement (chest, sleeve, back, or collar), and size. 3D puff embroidery is available for a small surcharge. All branding is durability-tested to last the full life of the garment.

What quality and sustainability standards do your scrubs meet?
+

Every fabric in our matrix is independently lab-tested for durability, colorfastness, and shrinkage control. Our Eco-Friendly line uses GRS-certified recycled polyester blended with organic cotton and biodegradable packaging. All fabrics across every tier are OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certified. See the Fabric Comparison Matrix above for full performance ratings by material.

Can you produce matching scrub sets with consistent dye lots across tops and pants?
+

Yes — every order is produced from a single dye lot, verified by spectrophotometer at the fabric inspection stage before cutting. We cut tops and pants from the same fabric roll to guarantee a perfect match. For reorders, we retain a reference swatch from your original production run and match new dye lots to it with a Delta E tolerance of ≤ 1.0. Your navy scrub top from 2026 will match your navy scrub pants ordered in 2028.
