Hospital scrub program — department color coding
01
Teaching Hospital, Southeast Asia — Procurement Team (2022–2023)

Multi-Department Hospital Rollout

800 Staff across 4 departments
28 Days from order to delivery
3 Reorders in 12 months
The Problem
  • Color drift — surgery blue arrived lighter than the approved sample
  • Sizing varied between production batches
  • Staff across 4 departments hard to identify at a distance
What We Did
  • All 4 department colors produced from a single dye lot
  • Spectrophotometer check against the approved lab-dip
  • Sizing locked to a sealed reference sample
  • Reference swatch retained for reorder color matching

The biggest thing for us was knowing that when we reorder in six months, the color will match exactly. That was the problem we couldn't solve with our last supplier.

Based on QC batch records and post-delivery procurement review, Q3 2023.

Growing clinic network scrub program
02
Private Clinic Group, 12 Locations — Operations Director (2023–2024)

Scaling from Pilot to Full Rollout

100 Piece pilot order
12 Clinics now supplied
5 Reorders and counting
The Problem
  • First-time custom manufacturing — no in-house experience
  • Needed a low-risk way to test fit, fabric, and quality before scaling
What We Did
  • Fabric swatch kit sent first for evaluation
  • 100-piece trial order across XS-4XL with embroidered logo
  • Two-week staff wear test, then fit adjustments
  • Moved to regular quarterly production

Ordering custom manufacturing for the first time was nerve-wracking. The swatch kit and small trial run made it feel safe. Now it's just part of our quarterly procurement.

Based on order records and post-pilot procurement review, Q1 2024.

Client Feedback

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

Dye-lot mismatches between our scrub tops and pants were a constant problem with our previous supplier — the navy would be two shades off between shipments.

LantaoWork runs our entire order from a single dye lot and sends us the spectrophotometer readings with the shipment.

For a 500-set cardiac unit rollout, every piece matched, every seam held, every logo was exactly where we spec'd it.

Dr. Michael Torres
Dr. Michael Torres Chief Procurement Officer, Coastal Health Network

Most suppliers just say 'medical-grade fabric' and leave it at that.

LantaoWork sent us the actual antimicrobial test data, the fabric composition breakdown by percentage, and liquid-barrier classification guidance for each fabric option.

For a team managing compliance documentation across multiple facilities, that level of transparency is what made the difference.

Direct Answers

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
ABOUT CUSTOM SCRUBS

What fabric blends do you offer and which is best for 12-hour shifts?
+

We offer six fabric options — see the Fabric Specification table above for full specs. For 12-hour shifts, Performance Stretch (4-way, moisture-wicking) is the top pick. For surgical and sterile areas, choose Antimicrobial for fluid resistance and bacterial protection.

How does your size grading compare to standard retail sizing?
+

We grade XXS–5XL with slim, regular, and relaxed fits. Our pattern blocks are built from actual healthcare worker body measurements, not retail mannequin sizing. Send us your staff measurement data and we'll create custom grade rules for your team.

What are the costs for custom logo branding?
+

Logo customization is included in the unit price. Choose the method (embroidery, heat transfer, or DTG print), placement (chest, sleeve, back, or collar), and size. 3D puff embroidery carries a small surcharge, and all branding is tested to last the garment's full life.

What quality and sustainability standards do your scrubs meet?
+

All fabrics across all tiers are OEKO-TEX certified for skin safety. The Eco-Friendly line uses GRS-certified recycled polyester with organic cotton and biodegradable packaging. Certification documents are provided per order.

Can you produce matching scrub sets with consistent dye lots across tops and pants?
+

Yes — every order runs on a single dye lot, and tops and pants are cut from the same fabric roll for an exact match. We retain a reference swatch from your original run, and reorders are matched with a Delta E tolerance below 1.5.
